Come Gather with the BOLD CITY BRIGADE! Watch the Florida Gators vs. the Miami Hurricanes from your lawn chair. Enjoy the game with a cold craft beer and tailgate from the local food trucks!


Community First Saturdays is just a short walk (through the Landing) from the Old Courthouse Parking Lot, which is still open for free parking on the east end of the Riverwalk.  The event is held on the Riverwalk behind the Times Union Center next to the Jacksonville Landing.


Through our dynamic partnership with JTA the Skyway runs from 9am to 5pm during Community First Saturdays. Use the Skyway to explore more, Downtown. You can also win great prizes by playing Operation Skyway, a fun interactive scavenger hunt!


Community First Activities for September 7 (partial list):

10am – Riverwalk and Bridgewalk with Shannon Miller Lifestyle! Brisk 4 mile walk with water and snacks after! Always a cool prize afterwards!

11am, Noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm – Mini Paint Class with Wine & Canvas! 20 minutes to masterpiece! Kid friendly!

3pm – Tai Chi with Jomarie

Noon- Kick Off! Florida Gators vs. Miami Hurricanes in the shade one the RIVER! Watch this storied Florida rivalry  on the Huge Flat Screen with surround-like sound! Bring your lawn chair and enjoy food truck tailgate gourmet food and ice cold craft beers!

All day features include: Kids activities and interactive community partner booths, Free Wi-Fi from MacTechPro,

Food Trucks and Free Bike Valet!

  1. The parking is NOT free at the old court house. I recieved a “parking invoice” from the city that says I owe them for parking in that lot this morning. Very annoyed with the bad information supplied by your website and the lack of signage that says that there would be a fee for parking in that lot.
