FREE BIKE, FREE SPRINGFIELD TOUR, 2 for 1 Symphony Tickets and MORE! DECEMBER 1!
Need an excuse to go back for more mashed taters and tofurken? Well we’ve got some suggestions at Community First Saturdays that may justify seconds!
You probably know we are all about the BIKES. We love bikes. We love to valet park your bikes. We love to take you on bike tours. We love to give you high energy spin class with a line of bikes on the Riverwalk!
Bikes aren’t the only thing Community First Saturdays is about, but it is definitely one of the big things! Our goal is to get you Downtown and experiencing our great river and Downtown neighborhoods. Bikes are an excellent way to do this! And you could win a brand new one!
So here is what you need to know:
1. If you have a bike, bring it. We’ll have Bike Jax’s Bike Valet from 10am to 4pm! You can park it, check out our Tai Chi, Symphony spot, JCCI 2025 tent, Food Trucks, DJ, Just Fitness 4 U Spin Class (12 to 2), and much much more. Even a special guest for the kids! Don’t live close enough to bike. NO PROBLEM. Bring it with whatever you drive and park on the old courthouse parking lot for FREE! We also have a bike shop with accessories and tools if you need a tuning of any sort, sponsored by Bikes Direct.
2. If you don’t have a bike, WIN IT. Our Bike Sponsor, Bikes Direct, is giving away a free Motobecane city bike (like the one shown). Comfy seat, rugged yet light design, and geared up for the urban core.
All you have to do is tweet a pic of the Riverwalk, Downtown, and/or Community First Saturdays event with the hashtag #ilovejax using @community1stSat
All pics must be posted or tweeted during Community First Saturdays hours (10am to 4pm) on December 1. We will line up all participants entries and draw from that list with a randomizer the following week. Winners will be entered for each time they post a different pic of an activity Downtown. We will notify the winner via facebook or twitter.
3. If you do or don’t have a bike, tour Springfield, by bike. We’ve teamed up with Ready2Ride Bike Tours (the number one activity on Trip Advisor) to present a highly rated 3 hour tour of Jacksonville’s oldest Historic District. The tour is easy for all levels, takes lots of breaks and is very informative. If you love early 1900’s architecture, especially Victorian and Craftsman homes, you’ll not want to miss this tour. The tour is free if you have your own bike, and bike rental is available for $35 (half price) if you need one.

BONUS! When you reserve your spot for the tour know this: We will randomly pick four winners for tickets to the Springfield Holiday Home Tour!
The Springfield Holiday Home Tour is an amazing Holiday tradition in one of the most vibrant Historic Districts in the country. You’ll want to join whether you win a ticket or not. Check out their facebook event page for more details and updates!
