e2ride bike tours (pronounced ready to ride bike tours) is an attraction – sustainable tourism business  founded and locally owned  Leigh Burdett, a Boston transplant.  After 11 years of living in Jacksonville and enjoying the year round sunshine on her personal bike journeys, Leigh became keenly aware how Jacksonville’s  historic neighborhoods  rivaled that of Savannah, Charleston and historic and scenic spots in Europe.  So, why not offer bike tours to give people something really first class and cool to do here?     With the help of the local preservation societies, and their historians, and in support of the St Johns Riverkeeper, Burdett has created what has been referred to as “hands down the best thing to do in Jacksonville”!  Realizing that sometimes as an adult, you just want to show up, and not have to “pack” or “bring” or “carry”,  e2ride bike tours was built to do just that.  Let you show up, and have everything provided for you, so you are ready to ride, or riders may bring their own bikes for a discount.   The business was designed to promote preservation, sustainable neighborhoods, and is very eco friendly, while getting people off of what Burdett refers to as the “gerbil wheel of life”.  e2ride bike tours attracts both locals and visitors as well as corporations for team building, and relocation.  In August of 2012, e2ride bike tours was recognized on the List of the Top Ten Must-Do’s in Jacksonville, FL by AirTran Airline.  e2ride bike tours has also been named by TripAdvisor as the #1 Thing to Do and #1 Tour in Jacksonville over the past two years.
